I have found that many clients prefer to use their own framer. I can, however, provide framing at an additional cost. Also, any necessary travel, shipping, packing, and taxes are additional. I require a 30% deposit which will be due when we agree on the terms. The balance will be due on completion and your acceptance of the portrait. Your satisfaction with your portrait is guaranteed (less the deposit).
Initially, I will schedule a meeting to discuss your wishes. Our conversation will include the subjects to be painted, the pose, background, and the clothing to be worn. It is also important to discuss the decor of the area and environment where the portrait will be displayed. Upon receipt of your deposit, I will schedule a photo session. Together, we will review these photos and choose which to use. Sometimes, elements of different photos will be used together to create the final portrait. Occasionally, I may require short sittings to refine the portrait. The portrait will be completed in my studio. The time to completion varies, but usually runs 6-8 months after you approve the composition. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
